I love high school comedies and this definitely is a must watch for fans of this genre. It has some nice jokes, but the best part is the heart of the movie and the coming-of-age story. The main character breaking the 4th wall also fits perfectly to the vibe of the movie. I was also quite surprised by the twist, didn't expect it all.
It was an alright movie with some strong and important messages. However, it is still a high school coming-of-age movie, and these usually end up being movies alright. It was saved by the twist.
Didn’t know this movie was going to exist until one day before release, and when I heard about it I was incredibly excited. The genre is a guilty pleasure, and the two leads have been enjoyable in many things in their young careers. Not to mention, a direct to Paramount movie is always exciting to get some added value out of the membership. WITH THAT BEING SAID…it’s about as good of a straight to streaming movie you could hope for. It doesn’t reach the heights of many other coming of age high school movies, but it works. Think a steaming version of “Booksmart”, because that’s basically what this movie is. And I think that’s all it needs to be. Not one I would outwardly recommend when better counterparts exist, but it’s worth watching and I’m sure a big audience will really enjoy this one. Rating: 3/5 - 7.5/10 - Worth Watching
It's a combination of "Election", "Glee", "Booksmart", and "Cruel Intentions". I loved this movie and I think the lead played her part perfectly. Sometimes the casting is just spot on and this is an example of that. She played both the calculating and heartwarming type equally well.
Good and funny movie i liked it
