Never really saw the Michael Caine version, but I think this is one of those hidden gem type movies. Something like, you want to be Alfie but at the same time you have sympathy for him through the harder parts of his evolution. Either way Jude Law killed it in this role!

I enjoyed the characterization of Alfie and it was overall just a really flashy movie. Not so sure about the plot but I did enjoy it, so it doesn't really matter does it?

> "Whenever you meet a beautiful woman, just remember somewhere there's a man who's sick of shagging her." Oh to be so beautiful on the outside and miserable on the inside. I didn't expect to not like the main character this much but I just felt like the tone of this was a little mean. It really makes me want to watch the original Michael Caine one but who knows. This one might be more relatable to current times.
