Sehnsucht. Verführung. Begierde.

This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, but I like it anyway :) I believe that the film has its merits, but it should have developed more aesthetic and different scenes (ie, taking more risks) than following a period narrative. The best thing about the movie is the cast and the worst thing is that we only see Robert Pattison's ass once.
I don't think this is an particularly successful production of this very famous novel. The casting is perfect. The costumes, sets, and shots are top-notch. But the screen play isn't pacwd correctly. The story is moving onto the next or point before we really get a chance to revel in George's charm or first love affair. Pattinson isn't given enough dialogue early on to establish his appeal and show off his devilish smile. The film is okay and I enjoyed watching it once but it mostly feels like a missed opportunity. I probably wouldn't recommend as I wasn't engaged enough with the characters.
When Georges (Robert Pattinson)
walked out of that church at the end, I thought his skin was gonna sparkle as diamonds like in Twilight, haha!
All in all, entertaining movie, especially since I love such period/costume dramas.
