*Nancy Drew* meets *Twin Peaks*. Started strong, the mystery was actually engaging in the first act and the characters had promise even though the acting is forced and overdone most of the time. I also had a hard time believing they were actual detectives, I blame the acting and the fact that they're way too young to be detectives. Nancy Drew (which is the obvious comparison here) is young also but she's an amateur detective. Danielle Bisutti is the standout as Norma, she overacts in every single scene but it goes with the character. Very entertaining. I knew her from somewhere but then realized she plays the Lady in Black in *Insidious: Chapter 2*, freakin unhinged here as well! The aesthetics draw you in instantly it's always colorful in every scene, nice costumes and sets and the camerawork is respectable. This movie's downfall is it introduced too many characters which led to none of them being fleshed out and some never return in the second half like Norma which is THE standout. After an hour the mystery completely lost me it just spiraled out of control and turned nonsensical and convoluted, I had no idea what was going on anymore. Some plot points aren't even resolved.
