Worse movie I have saw this year! The only good thing is Meyers :)

Luckily, I watched the series first, and then this one. It tries too hard to fit a lot of action, emotions, and lore into 2 hours, and it doesn't manage to do so, so it's quite apparent why a series format is better for this type of fantasy (and for most of the stories in general, I start to believe). There's NO chemistry between any of the characters. I am fine with Lily Collins as Clary, maybe even with Robert Sheehan as Simon and Lena Headey as Jocelyn, but everyone else feels like miscast and terrible dull and anti-charismatic - especially the actor playing Jace. Unfortunately, this is just a bad and very forgettable movie. I definitely wouldn't be interested in watching the series if I would've watched this first.
