This was boring. I don't understand how this is classified under horror. It's more of a thriller, and a terrible one at that.🗑💩
This is my first time watching _Into the Dark_ film so I don't really know what to expect. It's about a single mother and her son who are constantly moving from town to town and later it's revealed that her son can't go out on a particular day of the month and he must be locked during that time until the night ends. I really dig this little lycanthropy story although it's mostly predictable. It has a decent drama and good amount of tension. The acting from the lead is pretty good but the chemistry between her and her son is lacking. It feels very drawn out. like a short film content stretched into an hour and a half film. To be honest I was hoping for a better looking werewolf but at least it's not some crappy cgi. Overall it's a nice effort and worth checking out if you're into werewolves.
Everyone in this movie sucks, especially the irresponsible 'mother'. Characters who are horrible and make terrible decisions just make a movie really hard to enjoy.
This film perhaps would've worked just as well or even better without any of the make believe. Skip if you don't like a story about grief and heavy character development. That being said, the acting is top notch, and the heavy topic is handled really well.
I was excited for this movie but it was soooo boring and flat. While I felt sympathy for the main character's situation, no one in this whole film felt like a real person, just a bunch of cardboard cutouts talking to each other. It wasn't anything - scary, suspenseful, interesting, emotional. Nothing.
