A lesser Theroux work that offers a somber look at glamourless modern prostitution in the UK. It felt entirely directionless, with Louis' probing seemingly aimed to discover a trauma that led each woman to their current circumstances, even though they all seemed fairly happy with where they are in life. Rather than letting the subjects dictate the narrative, the documentary fights their reality to chase a tragic stereotype. A frustratingly narrow effort from a usually great interviewer.
