[Netflix] Convincing crime film that shows the chaos of the neighborhoods controlled by drug traffickers in Marseille. It successfully balances the action with the social perspective based on real events, although it is somewhat lukewarm in its ethical position, justifying the actions outside the law of the police without reflecting too much on what are the reasons why these lawless neighborhoods exist.
The neighbourhoods in northern Marseille are in such a bad state!
You have to see how the neighborhoods of northern Marseille are.
Great movie.yes, people, this is the sad situation about some neighborhoods in France. Not sure what is possible to do at this point.
Like a parking lot in the south, it's gritty but maybe tries to cover too much? A fascinating movie based on no-go zones for the cops in Marseille, France, and all the more so because recent news about these areas is proving how accurate the film is. Thematically similar to the Danish film Shorta / Enforcement, the film succeeds thanks to its taut directing and strong cast (Gilles Lelouche, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Karim Leklou are stand-outs). The film probably bit off more than I could chew, though, when it comes to the stories (there are 2 - 3 movies lurking in here), but this kept me awake the whole time I was jet lagged, so that's gotta mean something.
