Sam Axe was the best part of Burn Notice, well Gabriel Anwar is a close second.
A prequel to the USA hit series, Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe is an entertaining action-comedy. When Sam Axe is sent to Colombia to investigate a rising terrorist group, he discovers that they are actually a group of peasants fighting against a corrupt military general and joins their cause. Bruce Campbell, Kiele Sanchez, and Pedro Pascal lead the cast, and Jeffrey Donovan makes a cameo. Donovan also directs, and keeps the Burn Notice style with color fades and voice overs. However, the tone is a little too comedic and goofy at times, and some of the special effects shot and fight scenes are kind of lackluster. Yet while it has its problems, Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe is a fun adventure that delivers some laughs.
Bruce Campbell is a charismatic actor and Sam Axe is a very funny character.
Disney XD-like humor & look. Stupid story; even Pedro Pascal is bad. Campbell playing Sam Axe is ace, though does not redeem the movie. Only for die-hard Burn Notice fans.
_Very groovy!_ -Sam Axe It's like a Burn Notice Special except Jeffrey Donovan only pops in to say hi real quick and Gabrielle Anwar is nowhere to be seen. To make up for their absence though you get a triple dose of the almighty Bruce Campbell. I'm not sure if this would be appealing to anyone outside of Burn Notice fans. You can't go wrong with more Groovy Bruce in your life though.
