Really good movie, acting, story and everything is really good
I didn't expect much after reading reviews and comments. I was surprised just how good it was. I was enthralled throughout the movie, from start to finish. It may not have been groundbreaking but I very much enjoyed the cinematography, the story and especially Diane Lane's performance. Really enjoyable.
>"Sometimes that's all life is, Margaret. The list of what we've lost." There are some moments of frustration in this movie, but something tells me that is just how some of the characters are written. That being said, the chemistry that Kevin Costner and Diane Lane have in this movie is great. Back at it again since Man of Steel and they are who I want to be when I grow old: Wholesome, do-the-right-thing type of people.
I have always been a big fan of Kevin Costner but I’m afraid I found this movie to be absolute crap. The plot, the script and oh my God the acting. Unbelievably terrible. It is not something I would expect Kevin Costner to allow his reputation be connected to. And the rest of the cast, I’m sorry folks but for me it was a disaster. The best actor was Peter’s horse.
People on here are saying this movie was slow! This isn't the case at all. Sure, it's not an action-packed revenge thriller, but it never loses momentum. Yes, it takes its time, but nearly every moment here is compelling, and I never lost interest once. It's a good film, with impeccable acting from Costner and Lane, and a dark plot that is at once sad and faintly horrific. Recommended!
