I find myself wondering how I can build a future while I keep have rebuilding the past.
This movie was increasingly hard to watch, for the best possible reasons. The main casts performances are great, especially Olivia Cooke is fantastic. The story is heartbreaking, and feels like it could easily be a really good early onset Alzheimes story if they were a bit older. And it's just about as rough to watch as Still Alice or West Wings The Long Goodbye. Brilliant, but not fun to watch.
Like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind catching COVID. It feels more like an excuse to show romance rather than a real pandemic drama, though personally it was as great an excuse as any to appreciate all the wonder that is Olivia Cooke. The funniest part is how wrong they got people's reactions to a pandemic. In this movie, people riot because they want the cure, whereas in the real pandemic we all watched how the human race will do everything they can to avoid taking the medicine that will save their lives. :person_shrugging_tone2:
A sad, quietly harrowing tale that won’t be forgotten quickly.
One of its kind concepts, a sci-fi romantic drama that is so emotionally deep, it's sad, and it hits you hard. The performances are just brilliant, you can just read emotions from their face. The only minor issue is that you can find it a little slow, but it is just perfect on its own. The ending is where the real game lies, I didn't know how to feel, sad, happy, hopeful, or unsatisfying. It is just perfect the way it is. It also reminds you a little of Eternal Sunshine. Shoutout to Aja Gabel for the inception of the story.
