They really thought Kamala was going to win in 2025, didn't they? As soon as I saw that, I knew this movie was going to be a pile of garbage. It really was a dumpster fire. Comparing this to other great movies such as Wall-E, Ex Machina etc., is disrespectful to those movies. 😂
TWO STARS - 420 may assist with enjoyment of this film - Meets: WALL-E (2008) + Artificial Intelligence (2001) + Her (2013) A cute abstract of a hypothetical, stretched into a feature film. Premise: after humans are extinct, a buoy and a satellite meet and have a relationship via fodder from archived social media content - interesting distraction and deviation from legality to titillate the mind (I’m pretty stingy with my stars. Two stars means “so-so”. Do I regret seeing it? No, that’d be one star. Would I see it again? No, that’d be three stars.)
"Everyone is completely alone." Someone saw Wall-E and thought, "This needs a sex scene." At 30 minutes long, this would be cute, thought-provoking, touching. At three times that, it's interminable. Honestly I'd much rather watch a conventional romance starring these two. But there's a deeper issue here: 'Love Me' labors under the unfounded assumption that petabytes of data is enough to communicate the felt sense of being alive. This movie is a symptom of how profoundly disconnected we are in 2025 from our bodies. The premise that visual information on a screen would be enough to reconstruct the felt sense of living is disturbing—horrifying.
You wanna watch a buoy fuck a satellite sponsored by Blue Apron? I can get down with unique movies but at about 30 mins in the novelty wore it’s corse for me. Billions of years and past the human exsistence but it took ai a billion more to get past Snapchat emojify avatars. Talented actors I love, feel like they might as well be improving for fun in a acting class. If it wasn’t for them I’d mark this down for 1. Do not recommend even for those curious.
Turned it off after the first 10mins. Boring! 😴
