Handlung
Der 3. Weltkrieg ist in vollem Gange und selbst vor dem Gebrauch biologischer Kampfstoffe wird nicht zurückgeschreckt. Doch die Nebenwirkungen sind verheerend, die Toten steigen aus ihren Gräbern. Das Chaos herrscht und die führenden Politiker versuchen verzweifelt einen Atombunker zu erreichen. Allerdings stürzt das Flugzeug kurz vor dem Erreichen der Sicherheitszone ab. Die wenigen Überleben haben keine Zeit, das tropische Klima zu genießen, denn die Zombies sind schon überall und sie haben Hunger.

Rising Dead is brought to you by Hawaiian Filmmakers The Cousins Brothers. Don't expect Slaughter Day, this is not Slaughter Day. Oh is it not. Slaughter Day was shot on VHS nonsense that you could tell their energy failed towards the end. Rising Dead is a bit more polished. A polished turd. Still has nonsense like Slaughter Day, just better production quality and uses run down rural Hawaii as a backdrop. The random broadsword adds to the nonsense. Almost literally pulled out of his ass. Who leaves a perfectly good sword laying around in a former sugar plant? The Cousins. I want to say don't watch it. It isn't a movie like that at all. I recommend it due to the quant nature of the filmmaking and the instant production value shooting on Hawaii for free. Don't expect their magnum opus (Slaughter Day), do expect a functional zombie flick that's at least better than Zombi 3.
