Die Dokumentation widmet sich den Gründern und Protagonisten jener BitTorrent-Plattform, die bei Film- und Musikindustrie Angst und Schrecken verbreitet hat und bis heute als Inbegriff für Online-Piraterie gilt. TPB AFK gibt einen Blick hinter die Kulissen des Torrent-Trackers und zeigt vor allem die Geschehnisse der zahlreichen Prozesse gegen die Gründer von The Pirate Bay. Dabei gibt es auch viel Privates zu sehen, denn im Gegensatz zum öffentlich gezeichneten Bild kamen die Gründer Gottfrid Svartholm, Fredrik Neij und Peter Sunde nicht immer gut miteinander klar.

Maybe a bit too long, there is only so much to talk about, but I thought it was quite interesting to have a look behind the scenens and put some faces to The Pirate Bay.

I remember this movie when it was first on crowd funding site Kickstarter.com, I can proudly say that I have backed this movie back then. Wish I Could have backed more but oh well. It was a good documentary, if you are not familiar with The Pirate Bay and would like to learn more about its innerworkings and the court cases that lead to changes in the industry, you should watch it. Highly recommended. However if you are already familiar with TPB you might get a bit bored of the documentary. None the less it was good. DVD *sad face*
