1957, eine Kleinstadt in Georgia: Die schwangere Mary ist nach der Trennung von ihrem Freund alleine, zumal auch ihre Eltern nicht für sie da sind. Daher sucht sie Zuflicht in einem Kloster, wo sie den Namen Agatha bekommt und sich die Nonnen erst perfekt um sie kümmern. Doch bald ahnt sie, dass hier etwas nicht mit rechten Dingen zugeht. Die Mutter Oberin schottet sie immer mehr von allen anderen ab und zeigt großes Interesse an ihrem noch ungeborenen Baby. Agatha muss herausfinden, was hinter dem Kloster genau vor sich geht…

Bousman doesn't have a great track record in horror - Abattoir was a particular low - but he redeems himself here with this disturbing chiller set in a convent. With an atmosphere of dread and a flock of wicked nuns, this is a pretty good effort that horror fans might appreciate.

Flat characters, flat story. All the terror is reduced to scenes of gore and a cruel and greedy nun, nothing special. Don't waste your time with this.

Has more filters than a pack of Marlboros. There were a couple nice scenes for a PG-13 horror movie, but there were only a couple of nice scenes and it was a PG-13 horror movie.
