In a film dealing with grief, you expect a fairly miserable experience. However, this was more miserable than expected, largely thanks to a set of fairly unlikeable characters. Missable.

The description of the film is rather misleading in that I really did not feel a sense of the characters trying to recover from the father's death. It seemed as though they were struggling with things that they always struggled with. Since we never get too close to any of the characters and really don't care that much for them one way or the other it really felt like one of those films where you get a snapshot of their lives at a given point in time and nothing more. McDowell as been lauded for her role here but I really wasn't blown away by her or anything else in this film. https://IHateBAdMovies.com
