I looked at the comments for this movie. It was generally praised. I don't think it's good enough to be praised. It's a classic cowboy movie, nothing more. The acting is bad, the plot is hard to understand in some scenes. I gave it a chance because there was a girl playing in the Hanna series, but it's bad. Don't have high expectations for those who will watch it. An average movie. Enjoy.

The Thicket (2024) - ❤x7 This is a decent turn-of-the-century Western. I love and really enjoy watching both Juliette Lewis and Peter Dinklage. So this was a double pleasure. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

Like gymnastics: a well-done routine. This is old school western won't add anything to the genre but it was so nicely put together that it was a relaxing watch. (Also, who knew Tubi made movies for the cinema?)

This was DEFINITELY NOT an old school western as a couple comments falsely chain. It contents the rape and abduction of girls and women. It includes the forced servitude of "saloon girls" instead of the normally portrayed as "willing" participants. It portrays a female criminal pretending to be a man, which was way more common than most records like to admit. It portrays a botched rescue mission, which was also more likely that the calvary riding in just in the nick of time. No calvary coming to the rescue in some made up false narrative here. Just the raw fact that a rescue mission often ended in failure and even successful ones took great losses. There were a couple moments that could've been better written, but the acting was superb. 8.7 out of 10. The Bill character could've been better developed. but it is well worth the watch.
