Zwölf Geschworene verhandeln im Juryraum in brütender Hitze über das Schicksal eines Jungen, der angeklagt ist, seinen Vater getötet zu haben. Als das Urteil "Schuldig" beinahe feststeht, formuliert der Geschworene Nr. 8 seine Zweifel. Gegen den teils erbitterten Widerstand der Mehrheit entwickelt er nach und nach mit ruhiger Logik seine Argumente. Der Kampf der Meinungen setzt unerwartete Vorurteile und Charakterzüge der zwölf Männer frei, deren Gewissensprüfungen für den Angeklagten ausfallen.

A single room movie just talking should not be this good but it's amazing. The plot is engaging and the camera work is incredible.

Truly a masterpiece. A film of the 50s, shot entirely in a single set, which manages to keep the tension always high alternating with moments of pause to let us viewers breathe and with super sensible motivations, without too much forcing. A denunciation of the American government that is said to be perfect but is full of prejudices. Every single actor played their part PERFECTLY. I never thought I would put a 10 on a 1h30m movie.

Simply perfect. A classic landmark movie in the whole cinema history. After watching movies like this you realize how low today's movies quality standards are.
