While the Shallows isn't one of those big summer movies you waited for. The Shallows is one of the better summer movies. Due to a solid Blake Lively (Savages) and it's at least a convincing shark attack movie until the end that is. The movie had me at the edge of my seat throughout. Even when it got unrealistic by the end; I still rooted for Blake Lively's survival.

There is nothing spectacular to see here, 80 minutes of movie is about right for this type.It wasn't bad i enjoy it and not get bored

Every second on screen that is not shark related is laughable. The skyping, the exposition spewing, the CGI face swapping for surf scenes....all groans. But once it's shark time?! Holy hell was this movie fun. I was worried the trailer showed the whole movie. It really doesn't. What a blast.

I feel conflicted and have many thoughts on this. The way the camera follows Blake's body is so sexist. The storyline gets less and less realistic, to a point were it's just madness. I don't know whether it is on purpose, but it has a few plot holes and just makes no sense at times. In addition to that, the song played during the last scene feels very off. Still, something about this was amazing. The scenery was so nice to look at. Blake Lively's brilliant performance made me feel on the edge the whole time. I will never swim in the ocean again bye
