Okay.. This was actually better than expected. I like it definitely worth a watch.
Well, I compleatly enjoyed the movie. I like the music in the movie, it fits in perfectly. The screenplay was nice and acting was good, but the ending for me felt rushed. It feels like they could have made it better, but I still liked it! But I don't know how the book is, so can't say how different the book and the movie is. Maybe I should read the book!
And what is it with movies and trailers lately. In the trailer when Vee goes to the cop car, the police officer know her name and seems to be "part of the game". But it was not like that in the movie. And when i first saw the trailer, that part made the movie seem "better?". But well, I guess the trailers now days lie about the movies ;) *cough* *cough* _suicide squad_
Nice to see Emma Roberts play an innocent girl for once. She proves that she can do more than just play a bitch, like in Scream 4, American Horror Story and Scream Queens. Despite being 25. She's like Britt Robertson where she can play a teen still. Plus Dave Franco plays a cool kid for once and pulls it off. Nerve isn't great but it's likeable due to the leads. The story is decent too if you like a cutsie teen version of the movie the Game.
some cool ideas, but over all SCRUB'S!!!!
The movie had an interesting concept, but what threw me off was the execution. Tech in this universe didn't make sense, regular items that we use today like macbooks and iphones were suddenly capable of doing impossible things which came across as very cheap and lazy writing. It also paralleled John Wick 2 in the way it portrayed almost EVERY other person in New York City as a "Watcher", which made for a lot of ridiculous moments where crowds of people waving their phones around would simply appear anywhere the main characters where. For a so called "secret" game it didn't feel very secret at all.
