This movie overall was meh (5), not the best by a long shot or something really unique. The beginning it does catch your interested but dies shortly after that. Animation done is poorly done in the beginning. They do not go much into the back story of anything. They could have done a lot more with this movie in the back story of the family and the company to build up to what is happening in the home. The ending wasn't the worst but again they could have told more what happened instead of just trying to put an ending in a plot. This movie had potential but was cut short on everything.

The final twenty minutes are pretty good. However its a long hard slog getting there. Worth the effort, but only just.

I hated it. Flat and boring characters. The scares weren't scary at all. the plot was different, but so stupid. I still watched it to the end, because I was curious. But I really shouldn't have done that. The end is even worse than the rest of the movie.

A low-budget horror film, The Diabolical is complete garbage. The story follows a mother and her two children who live in a house that they believe is haunted, but when they attempt to leave the children get infected by something that prevents them from going outside of the house. The acting is awful and the writing is equally bad. Additionally, the special effects are piss-poor and the makeup effects for the ghosts aren’t that frightening. There is an interesting twist at the end, but it’s hardly worth the slog to get to. Incredibly monotonous and boring, The Diabolical is a rote haunted house film that doesn’t deliver any scares.

Since I liked every movie/show Ali Larter is a part of, I thought to give this movie a try. Its not a typical haunted house horror movie and I found the ending bit flat - I don't know what to make of it, although I like a bit mindfuck here and then :D
