another great work from Bakshi. this is obviously heavily influenced by his own life and presents an unflinching slice of life growing up poor in new york in the late middle of the 20th century. any fan of bakshi should watch, although be warned that if all you've seen is fritz the cat, this is much more personal and much less overtly humorous.

Decent watch mostly notable for the early development of the animation over live action techniques he would use to better effect in later films.
