Es stellt sich heraus, dass der Frieden brüchig ist, denn Ocean Master und Black Manta erklären der Oberfläche den Krieg. Unterdessen sucht Queen Atlanna nach ihrem anderen Sohn, Arthur Curry, dem Halbbruder des Ocean Master. Er ist Halbmensch mit übernatürlichen Kräften und weiß nichts von seiner Abstammung. Als Arthur Curry alias Aquaman bemerkt, wie die Dinge um ihn herum gefährlicher werden, schließt er sich der Justice League um Wonder Woman, Shazam und Green Lantern an. > "If I had a chance to save my world and meet one of my own race, even for a moment, that would be enough." Not sure how I feel about this New 52 era of movies yet. The characters are fun but the designs and story are not the greatest. It feels like a continuation of JL: War but now focused on Aquaman.

I would have like to have seen more of the origin story of Arthur. As a kid with his mom, growing up with his dad, how he started to realize his power etc. It should have just been an Aquaman film instead of Justice League. Wasn’t terrible, rating it a six for some cool action and laughs

It felt quite rushed overall, but one positive aspect of the movie is the Queen of Atlantis, Arthur's mother. She has a well-developed character arc, and her dialogues are impactful and well-suited. I'm not sure why writers and creators often feel the need to kill off characters like her.
