Inexcusably bad. There was **NOTHING** good or enjoyable about this particular PPV. For starters, the photo on the Peacock site is misleading: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs Yokozuna was never a part of this card, but that's just the beginning. The four-way tag team match for the WWF Tag Team championship only served to make it glaringly obvious how shallow the tag team pool is at this point in WWF history. Not a single one of these tag teams are remarkable and/or memorable. (Hark back to the glory days of tag teams that _were_ memorable, such as The Legion of Doom/Road Warriors, Demolition, Power and Glory, The Nasty Boys, StrikeForce, The CanAm Connection, Rhythm & Blues, The Rockers, et al) I can't say enough **negative** about the so-called "match" between Jerry Lawler vs Jake "The Snake" Roberts; for the WWE to not only allow but promote mocking, joking, making light of substance/alcohol abuse or addiction is simply inexcusable. It was bad enough the WWF permitted Jerry Lawler to poke fun and make snide comments about Roberts' well-known addictions and joke about his "recovery"; they (the WWF) cheapened themselves by promoting it and making a mockery of it. Scripted or not, they could have found other ways to make a match between these two appealing to the masses, and if they couldn't, then scrap the match and look for something different. Lawler was never that entertaining as a wrestler OR a commentator in the first place. Let's be honest: The ONLY thing Jerry Lawler knows about a "wrestling" match is to peel off his singlet strap like he's really angry (and bad enough to actually do something) and throw a punch; the guy never actually wrestled. He should never have been given the time of day in a WWF ring to begin with. Then you had that awful match between Marc Mero and that un-closet queer "Golddust" who was one of the stupidest ideas WWF ever had for a character. And how is it that "Golddust" (Dustin Runnels) who had the hots for Scott "Razor Ramon" Hall suddenly now has the hots for Marc Mero's real-life wife (at that time), "Sable"? And how was Runnels real-life wife Terri (in character as "Marlena") able to handle her husband supposedly flirting/making sexual advances toward another woman right in front of her? The whole "Golddust" persona was just stupid and freaky to begin with and they allowed it to carry on for far too long. The match was boring, as the only thing the "Golddust" character knows how to do is push an opponent away, then caress his own body in front of them, supposedly to provoke them (and the audience) into being repulsed enough to do something foolish. How lame. The so-called "match" between The British Bulldog vs "Psycho" Sid Vicious was equally boring and filled with non-talent. I always enjoyed the Sid character (be it "Sid Vicious" in the WCW or "Sid Justice" or "Psycho Sid" in the WWF) but to be honest, the poor guy was just overly huge; he wasn't all that talented and couldn't carry a match and didn't really know how to sell his moves or his opponent's moves in the ring. The "Boiler Room Match" between Mark "The Undertaker" Calaway vs "Mankind" (Mick Foley) was just too bizarre and poorly orchestrated to really be of any interest. Skip about 19 minutes (from the beginning of the match) and watch the conclusion and you'll see why they went through all this; the "match" itself, though, was just flat and dull. And finally, as is the custom, the "Main Event" match between Michael "Vince's Boy Toy" Hickenbottom vs Leon "Vader" White ended just as you knew it would. Again, do yourself a favor and cut through this one and don't waste your time when you know how it's going to end. As per usual, the WWF story-writers _tried_ to make it look interesting but you always know how an event with Hickenboredom is going to turn out. This time was no different: Point of exhaustion, absolutely drained, but suddenly "nip up" from sheer exhaustion, find the strength to slay your fat, out-of-shape, unathletic, 60-year old opponent, cue the music, strut and preen for the adoring fans. Ad nauseum. This was just an absolutely awful WWF pay-per-view.
