14 Jahre Dauerstress – nun braucht der Fluglotse Jack Chester dringend Urlaub! Zusammen mit seiner Frau Sandy, seinen drei Kindern und dem Hund Archie startet er zu den sonnigen Stränden Floridas. Doch statt der ersehnten Entspannung warten auf die Chesters einige Missgeschicke: Sie beziehen ein falsches Haus und werden dort von dem arroganten Millionär und Segel-As Al Pellet geplagt, bis Jack schließlich genug hat: Er beschließt, Pellet beim Segelcup herauszufordern.

The main reason to watch this is John Candy. Candy was filled with joy comedically and dramatically. The film is not great, but his presence is irresistible.

Absolutely hilarious. Why? I laughed out loud over 10 times. Forget about the weak plot. John Candy, comedy legend. It’s a film to laugh and enjoy many times over. One of my favourite comedies. 10/10.

To be fair, it had 3 bits in the movie which were funny, Crenna taking two of them. Other than that, not much to write about other than the dog being one of the stars. Was crazy to see the daughter looking way younger than she looks in Goonies despite this being filmed after that! I'd say barely worth seeing but it wasn't the worst, just far, FAR from one of Candy's best.
