Handlung
In dem 400m hohen Superwolkenkratzer "Millennium-Tower" in New York kommt es in einem der Expressfahrstühle nacheinander zu gefährlichen Unglücken. Erst wird eine Gruppe schwangerer Frauen so lange eingeschlossen, bis mehrere niederkommen, dann stürzt ein Blinder samt Hund in den Schacht. Als ein Wachmann nachts seinen Kopf in der Fahrstuhltür verliert, fängt der Fahrstuhlmechaniker Mark mit der Journalistin Jennifer an, Fragen zu stellen, ob der Tod eines Mechanikerkollegen vor mehreren Monaten nicht ein Unfall war.Bei ihren Nachforschungen treffen sie auf den Wissenschaftler Steinberg, der mit sich selbst reproduzierenden Computerchips gearbeitet hat und jetzt bei der Fahrstuhlfirma beschäftigt ist. Dann stirbt plötzlich Marks alter Partner und Eile ist geboten, doch inzwischen herrscht in dem Wolkenkratzer der Ausnahmezustand...

Wow. Just... wow. The villain is a haunted, sentient elevator. WHAT? Say less. There are so many bizarre, bold, and straight up bonkers choices made in this film and had me in gut-busting laughter nearly the entire runtime. Terrible New York accents, nudity for the sake of nudity, fog machines, and rollerblades. My only regret is that I did not know of this film sooner and that the producers did not title this **Hellevator.**

What a stacked cast! Love how awkward and surprising the dialogue is. A bit too long, but definitely worth the ride.

Down - ❤x5 This is not good enough to recommend and yet it's not bad enough to warn everyone away. But it is a mess, and unintentionally humorous, but mostly just bad. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
