Card was good. I missed the input of Joe Rogan here, though. Some good fights, a little bit of stupidity on the part of Genki Sudo who was more interested in acting the idiot than actually fighting. Match between Ian Freeman and Frank Mir was a shocker, and if you're planning on watching the fight between Eugene Jackson and Mark Weir, all I can say is _"Don't blink."_ On a side note (in the off-chance that anyone ever reads these comments), I thought it was...interesting?...maybe a little obvious there was some editing that took place in the Matt Hughes vs Carlos Newton match; if you watch the fight, pay close attention to the background noise between the 12:45 - 13:15 mark: this analogy may be difficult for younger folks to understand, but old codgers might remember when your "needle got stuck" while playing an old LP album and the same line repeated itself over and over until someone either bumped the record player or physically lifted and moved the needle to the next track. Pay attention to that span of time in the Hughes vs Newton fight and you'll notice two things: (1) the background sounds are repeating: _"Use your [inaudible] Matt, use your [inaudible]..."_ and this line is immediately followed by someone else exclaiming what sounds like an expletive (f-bomb) twice. The pattern repeats itself for 30 seconds, and (2) aside from these noises, there is absolutely NO background sounds. No crowd noise, no analysts describing the match; the only thing you hear is those two phrases/sounds looping over and over for 30 seconds. I know...it has absolutely nothing to do with the fight; I just thought it was weird. (I know: Little things amuse little minds, right?)
