Just as in the original UFC 1: The Beginning, the card was decent enough but still very awkward, with these fighters - skilled though they might be in their own martial art style - not knowing what to expect or how to combat someone who wasn't mirroring their own style. It becomes very clear through these early cards that these "fighters" are not actual fighters: they know how to spar with their own style but don't really know how to utilize their own style in a real "street fight"-type match. It was embarrassing. Give me two guys that want to actually HURT each other...not just earn points. These weren't fighters; they were martial artists who were looking for sparring matches against their own technique. It seems the only combatant here who felt comfortable with virtually "all comers" who the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master, Royce Gracie. He had no problem meeting any opponent - regardless of their style - and imposing his own jiu-jitsu style on them, regardless of what they tried. Also as in the original UFC card, the ringside analysis was ... not even laughingly horrible; it was just flat out horrible. Thankfully there was no Bill Wallace this time, but Jim Brown continued to butcher everything. Watch this only if you're really interested in the origins of Ultimate Fighting.
