One of the most creative and interesting episodes I've seen so far and I've been watching since season 1 The Joker parody is skillfully crafted and the couch gag was fantastically done.

To the three people who wrote a comment so far: Short version: so this is how you see men today?? Now for the long version: are you frigging kidding me?? Are you doing a satirical bit? This “special” was the worst Simpsons related piece of video I have ever seen!! And I am only 10 minutes in. Who wrote this…a frustrated lesbian who hates men as a sport?? Homer has always been a jerk but a LIKABLE one or RELATABLE. Now he is just over the top and psychopathic (kicking the babysitter, screaming at the kids via his cellphone when he is at the arcade). It’s not the person anymore. That does a lot of things wrong, but at the end has his heart at the right spot - he’s just portrayed as dumb and as stupid as they could imagine. I sensed something was off in the tone of the episode after three or four minutes. But it got worse from there and then Marge says it (the quote that had been celebrated in this comment section before) “sometimes I hate being married to you!”. She has been pissed at him before - for example in The Simpsons movie and many other episodes. But he always did the right thing at the end and managed to save the day or at least his family. She has been frustrated with him but this sentence is just heartbreaking and evil. That’s not The Simpsons and not the kind of humor I’ve been following for almost 40 years. This is some dark modern day picture of a man that feminists and the media like to distribute. Because men are the source of pure evil (“it’s not all the men, but it is always a man”). This is all the modern day hate against men that I can witness every day in the media (at least here in Germany I don’t know how it is going over at your countries). The left has made the man a punching ball for everything that’s wrong not even seeing that suicide rates among men are much higher and statistics like that. No man or just evil hitting their wives, they are raping and running around making everything worse. It’s never mentioned that it is “certain men” from certain cultural backgrounds or certain countries. No it’s always the white middle-aged to old man that does everything wrong. And now the Simpsons are joining this bandwagon. Of course they are because they are on Disney+ which has been taken over by the left years ago (just watch Star Wars or Doctor Who) and they have turned everything to shit. This time it’s The Simpsons turn. But it’s only the same agenda stamped on another show or IP. You are very, very sad people. I hope I will wake up from this fever dream within the next two years because it has been going on for far too long!!!!

I was absolutely into it. Until the joker part. It just seemed over the edge. Maybe in a stand alone Treehouse of Horror
