Sports evokes feelings, and none evokes more feelings than a good underdog story. Miracle is such a story, and a true one at that... No matter if you are into hockey, no matter if you are an American, no matter even if you are from the old Soviet Union. This story is great!! And it is told in such a way that you have no choice but to believe in miracles... at least for the runtime of this film. Good job, Gavin O’Connor! You've made a sports film that I don't mind rewatching again, and again.
Great movie about what might be the greatest sports moment ever. A lot of that, of course, is due to the political landscape and the extreme disparity in the perception of the quality of the teams. Russia probably was the better team, but they found a way to win. The movie is so good...but with the result known throughout and the grueling nature of the training depicted, I won't be returning to this film soon, otherwise, it would probably be a 10.
This is a really good sports movie that is based on real events. Kurt Russell form a winning hockey team out of bunch of outsiders. Excellent entertainment.
>"I'm sick and tired of hearing about what a great hockey team the Soviets have. Screw 'em. This is your time." A little hard to not know how it ends with the name like Miracle and a movie cover like that, but Kurt Russell always makes it worth it. It is very on brand with Disney sport movies but can't help but feel good with it and the coach dedication at the end.
Probably the best hockey movie
