The movie is good, but it lacks the courtroom drama; maybe that's why Yami's final monologue isn’t as strong as it should be.

An intense, organized, well-made, mature watch. It doesn't have characters as heroes or villains, and it doesn't attack religion either. Instead, I'll say it focuses more on patriarchy - exposing how some men conveniently twist religious laws for their own comfort while discarding the actual essence of equality. Yami Gautam drops a flawless, powerhouse act, maybe the best of her career. Emraan Hashmi deserves serious respect for taking on such a sensitive role. The courtroom tension hooks you completely, even if the ending feels a bit formulaic, and rushed. Overall, it is a deeply engaging film that forces you to think about how people selectively follow faith just to suit their personal convenience.

An average movie which could’ve been better, the last 20 mins of the movie makes it good.
