Handlung
Malo ist nur aus einem einzigen Grund bei der Polizei gelandet – er will das moralisch Richtige tun. Somit heuert er bei der Straßeneinheit unter dem Kommando von Vic Sarcone an, bei der auch schon sein Vater gearbeitet hat. Jedoch muss Malo schnell merken, dass nicht alle der Beamten die gleichen Vorstellungen von richtig und falsch besitzen. Es dreht sich innerhalb der Einheit weniger um Recht und Ordnung, als vielmehr um Geld, Drogen und Macht. Die beiden Seiten, die sich hier gegenüberstehen, sind sich gar nicht so unähnlich - die Grenzen zwischen Polizei und Kriminalität beginnen immer weiter zu verschwimmen und auch Malo sieht sich bald in einem undurchsichtigen Sumpf, der auch für ihn gefährlich wird.

That's my point: Two Oscar winners. OK, straight-to-dvd movies aren't necessarily bad, but 98% yeah & in that case I BELIEVE it is. Why would they do something like that? It's definitely a down step if you ask me.

Pros: Nice cast Cons: Horrible dialogue, incredibly stupid plot line, massively incoherent storytelling Great story about a corrupted NYCPD. Very dark and grimy with thrilling moments, 50 actually surprised me on this one, he acted well. 5/10

I don't really care if its a straight-to-dvd-movie. What I care about is, if the movie is good or not. Well - it's not ^^ I don't even know why I watched this movie. The story is a little bit better than a good cop <-> bad cop story, the actors except De Niro and Whitaker are bad. Its about some coke and some corrupt cops who wanna make money. Some "in the hood" action scenes, white guys call black guys "nigger", some ganstahhh rap and Mr. 50 Cent wants to revenge his daddy. Getting a 4/10 "Poor", because it isn't even "Meh" which would be 5/10

It does have 2 Oscar winners (Forest Whitaker and like you said Robert De Niro), but on the other hand it also has 50 Cent.... Straight-to-dvd movies are not always a complete failure, there are a few straight-to-dvd movies or movies with very limited cinema time that are in my opinion very good: http://trakt.tv/user/dunpealhunter/lists/excellent-straighttodvd-movies

Sooo De Niro is doin' straight-to-dvd movies now!? What a shame :( I won't even put this on my watchlist.
