Benjy Taylor, ein noch unerfahrener junger Polizist mit einem Faible für schnelle Autos, wird als Undercover-Agent in die getarnte Autoschieber-Werkstatt von Ted Varrick eingeschleust. Bald zieht ihn dessen faszinierende Welt in ihren Bann: Waghalsige Rasereien durch die Nacht, abgefahrene Partys und Varricks sexy Schwester machen ihn glauben, dieses Leben sei genau das, was er sich schon immer erträumt hat. Als Taylor herausfindet, dass Varrick noch ganz andere Dinge als nur Autodiebstahl auf dem Gewissen hat, steckt er bereits viel zu tief drin ...

Think it wasn't that bad, the last 35-40 mins were pretty enjoyable. Sheen was OK, but I really didn't get the importance of his sister(!), Ann. It was a romantic cliché, but didn't add any flick to the story.

A solid 1980s cop action drama with a young Charlie Sheen (and an appearance by Brad Pitt as an extra, before he become a star …). The story is Ok but rather unsurprising and predictable. And there is quite a bit of “hidden” advertising for specific brands … For fans of the genre and the man.
