[VdR '23] Through a small town on the Brazilian coast that only has electricity during the tourist season, a false progress is represented, focused on the distraction of the individual in the face of the traditional coexistence of intimate conversations and reflections of the natural light. There is a process of deconstruction of that idyllic paradise when electricity arrives, but the complexity of a traditional thought also takes shape. Ponta Negra is thus drawn as a space of confrontation between the natural and the artificial, between modernity and tradition.
