Spielzeug war gestern.
Die Aufgaben von Buzz, Woody, Jessie und Co. werden immer schwieriger, wenn sie es mit einer ganz neuen Bedrohung der Spielzeit zu tun bekommen: der Technik.

I’m a 35-year-old kid who literally grew up on Toy Story. I watched the first one in theaters when I was just 4 years old. When the second one came out, my dad was the exact same age I am right now. I watched Toy Story 3 right as I was graduating high school, and Toy Story 4 with my wife. I just did a full rewatch of the entire series over the last few days, and honestly... Toy Story 5 is an absolute masterpiece. It is a total emotional rollercoaster, but also incredibly relevant and profound. Somehow, we’ve let screens steal childhood away from our kids. And look, I’m not about to go full "old man yells at cloud" and complain about how "back in my day everything was better." All I know is that I cried like a baby during this movie—not once, and definitely not twice. I highly, highly recommend it to everyone. And to anyone else who grew up alongside these toys, just remember—You've got a friend in me!
The epitome of mediocrity. The theme of tech encroaching on children's lives is a good one but it was a poor decision to centre the film so heavily around Jessie. It feels like there is a relative lack of adventure compared to other instalments and almost nothing for the other toys to do. Choosing to emasculate Buzz was quite frankly bizarre; firstly that they would think to do that to a well established character who also happens to be an action figure but also because even in a female-led story, it remains completely jarring. Comes across like it was more of a pre-occupation for the writers rather than something the film justified or required. All in all, it is watchable enough but it coasts on the charm of the prior entries and adds little of anything. I don't think even my 9 year old will be rushing back to watch a sixth installment.
Toy Story 5 surprisingly I think is actually the best since part 2. Since it has the toys trying to reunite plot. When Jessie gets separated from the rest. Due to trying to find Bonnie a friend. So Bonnie would be less attached to her new tablet and play with toys again. The movie is heartwarming and charming. Which does go for all of them. Toy Story 5 gets tears but in a more happy way than the last two films.
This movie blows. I had no idea Jessie was going to be the main character and now there's leaks that this will be the norm moving forward. Shes a great side character but absolutely not main character worthy. Woody and Buzz were just side characters in a Toy Story movie... Seriously? And speaking of Buzz they turned him into a simp sitting in the cuck chair the entire movie. Not a single one of his actions were for his own goals, it was all for Jessies attention. What kinda weirdo made Buzz a simp? Genuinely pissed me off. The digital toys were cool and I especially liked the mid 2000s toys that were in that in-between era where technology was just starting to kick off into the next stage. I also dont hate Bonnie I like that they wrote her as kind of a weird kid that doesn't fit in. Over all yes there are a few moments that hit the nostalgia button and can tug on your heart strings just a bit, the overwhelming majority of the movie is out of touch. I hate the writing for pretty much all the characters and theres nothing thats making me excited for them to continue making these movies. Matter a fact they should've just stopped at Toy Story 3. The next day after watching this movie I had to re watch the first Toy Story to cleanse my soul. Now THAT movie is when Disney and Pixar knew how to make a movie. It had been years since I've seen that movie but rewatching just teleported me back it really did. I feel bad for the kids growing up with sub par mediocre movies like this.
eu simplesmente ameiiiii, retratou a realidade das crianças de hoje em dia e em como a tecnologia destrói uma infância. um filme tão lindo, tão profundo. toy story é uma das minhas franquias favoritas.
