Strong BGM, Solid Performances, but Not the Same Magic Kantara: Chapter 1 is a good film that looks and sounds incredible, but it doesn’t quite carry the same spark as the 2022 original. The background score is outstanding and adds so much to the atmosphere, while Rishab Shetty once again gives a brilliant performance that anchors the whole movie. Where it falls a little short is in balance, the action sequences feel a bit overdone, and the divine element, while powerful, is used so frequently that it loses some of the awe it had in the first film. The villains also don’t hold much weight, which makes the conflict feel less intense than it should. That said, it’s still an enjoyable watch with some fantastic moments, and I’ll be there for the next installment, even if I’m not as hyped as I was for this prequel. I'd give it a 7/10.

Really good story, another good movie in this series. Watch it, you won’t regret.

Tried to create the same thing on a bigger scale. The movie is good, I’d say, but it failed to give me the same amount of goosebumps as the first movie, **_Kantara_**. I think the makers should have left **_Kantara_** as it was, but they decided to milk it. From the trailer itself, I wasn’t expecting it to be as good, since it felt like ==it was missing the magic of the original==.

Used the same formula for the story as the first one. Performances were good, but the bar is set too high from the first part to be matched.

not sure how to rate it tbh. 1st half is cliche and really boring. i wouldn't even give it 1 star. 2nd half got some bits and pieces but they are strong enough to rise my rating to 3 stars. can you imagine, from not even 1 star to 3, just for a handful of bits and pieces? it says a lot abt the movie in itself. whatever people do, i fail to find a movie which can top movies like tumbbad or bhramayugam. Even though they have the same talent and probably money but just to cater people from a certain region or with a certain taste, these directors can't really make a realistic entertainment. they are technically ruining such good trendmaking stories. They are feeding ton of crap to the audiences and are also surrounding themselves with those fake appreciations. No shit, indian cinema is so not popular. it is truly heart breaking. Will i watch this again? Nope will i remember it at random time like i remember tumbbad and bhramayugam? Absolutely Nope But yeah sure, take my 3 stars and be content about what you made was, "good enough"
