An above average sports movie that is based on true events. The story also addresses the racism that is still present today and more than apparent in certain sports and/or social circles. A very good and entertaining movie with an excellent cast.
It's a good movie, based on real events. It felt slow at times. Maybe because I'm in no way a fan of Golf. No movie can hype-up Golf for me. Jay Hernandez and Óscar Núñez playing two key characters helps as well, since they are bot likeable actors.
Do yourself a favor and watch this movie.
I can only assume the script for this movie was written during the SAG-AFTRA writers strike. Even that is being generous. The script was so awkwardly cheesy I actually felt embarrassed for the actors. It was a particularly brave directorial move to play the Last Post during the final game winning putt; by this stage the only funeral should have been for this movie. There was an attempt to include a military theme throughout, but in reality the only things in common were just how badly this movie bombed. A triple bogey.
