Okay, that psycho
of a father put the girl in his head
but where did Ian get his fighting skills from, all of a sudden?? Also, who have thought, that Adriana herself
would have been victim to a loop?
That ending is a open... Seems that they are angling for a sequel. Fells more like an extended pilot for a show. As a stand alone film it feels to open, not enough closure...
A fantastic Spanish production for Amazon.
Imagine having an incredibly powerful sense of perception. During the Cold War, a special formula was given to agents, granting them unique abilities to control the enemy. These agents were part of a group called “The Perception.” But once the war ended, these gifted individuals were no longer needed. Ian, an 18-year-old, lives on a boat with his father Vicente. They use Ian’s abilities to steal what they need and stay hidden. Everything changes when Ian makes the mistake of using his powers publicly, drawing the attention of an organization led by Adriana. She wants a sample of Ian’s blood to recreate the original formula. While her intentions seem noble, it’s unclear if they’re truly good. Also chasing Ian is The Perceiver, a mysterious and unstoppable foe whose motives are equally ambiguous — a character that brings a compelling edge to the story. Ian has the power to project images and influence people’s actions. With Adriana’s help, he unlocks his full potential, which includes reading minds and retrieving memories. This leads him to uncover shocking truths about himself and those around him. Esther, from the agency, teams up with Ian to uncover his past. The journey is filled with twists and surprises. The film has a solid story and decent acting, but the standout features are the visuals and CGI, which are stunning. Movie Rating: 6/10
