Eine witzige und mutige schwarze Komödie mit Herz über die zukünftige Braut Gemma, deren Verlobter Nathan kurz vor ihrem Hochzeitstag tot umfällt. Auf Ermutigung der freigeistigen Schwester ihres Verlobten - und aus einer Reihe eigener, emotional komplexer Gründe - beschließt Gemma, die Hochzeitszeremonie durchzuführen und ihn trotzdem posthum zu heiraten. Dafür muss sie sich allerdings zunächst gegen die öffentliche Meinung, das Gesetz und sogar gegen die Einwände ihrer eigenen Familie durchsetzen.

I was on the fence with this movie for most of its runtime. I thought that they did a good job with the setup, but the middle of the movie really lost its way. I was prepared to write it off as just another middling indie movie, but the last few minutes of the movie really got me (especially the piece as the credits started to roll). Another good British movie I watched in 2024. This reminds me of the 80's to early 2000's when were movies were good. Yes, it is a MUST WATCH!
