Sei vorsichtig, was du dir wünscht !

Such a fun b-movie. Divoff is so great in the title role. There was so much potential for this franchise with what was set up here. Wishmaster deserved better...
This actually holds up pretty well for such an old movie, and the techniques available at the time. For horror fans, it is still quite watchable and reasonably enjoyable...
Opens up with some freakin' amazing practical effects, had me hooked instantly. That guy's skeleton bailing on him was the best part. Probably the best Djinn movie i've watched yet. What makes it worthwhile is all the Djinn tricks that were demonstrated and the practical effects that come with it, some really cool ideas in there. Perfect choice of actor to portray the Djinn in human form, I thought at first that they were making a mistake by making him look human (*Supernatural* style) but it's that quirky performance that makes it work. Had a blast with this one, recommended to anyone who enjoys practical effects and cool Djinn tricks. Just be careful what you wish for! >*"You don't approve? All right then, fuck it! You know what I say: If you can't beat 'em, burn them, baby."*
>"Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to have unlimited power, and only be able to use it when some worm asks you for something?" Under all the campy 90's feel, there is a pretty good horror movie. Genies were originally scary before Disney, and the practical effects used in this movie are better than most horror movies these days.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH IT'S EVERY HORROR FANS DREAM, AND REALLY THIS MARKED THE END WHEN HORROR WAS HORROR FUN, GRUESOME AWESOME WITH LOTS OF IMAGINATION BEHIND IT, WITH QUALITY WRITING. IT'S SUCH A SHAME WHAT THEY DID TO THIS FRANCHISE. IT COULD HAVE STAYED UP THERE TILL THIS VERY DAY, WITH THE LIKES OF HALLOWEEN,FRIDAY THE 13th NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET AND CHILD'S PLAY. BUT NO THEY BURIED IT INSTEAD AND WITH AN ALL STAR CAST IN IT LIKE FREDDIE KRUGER,JASON, CANDY MAN,THE TALL MAN, REGGIE,BUCK FLOWER IT'S CRIMINAL HOW THEY TREATED IT.
