3/10 Definitely not as good as the first one and found myself just bored with this installment. None of it made sense and there is just to many plot holes for me to list here. God I use't to love this movie years ago but now it's just plain bad due to the fact it's aged like milk. Not enough Eve/Natasha in this for me, point taken away for that alone. I see where Twilight got the idea for the obsession with the hole weird Love thing going-on's (eye roll, face palm).

> "Aisle 1, fruits and vegetables!!!" I only watched this because Michael, Natasha and Marg came back! It is not as good as the first one but I was surprised that I liked it more than I thought. I think it's because everyone says it sucks so my expectations were lowered. Species is a cult classic that made it to theaters where as this feels like a straight-to-vhs movie. The practical effects are still good, but it is messier and less intense.

After “Species” was at least a fairly mediocre B-movie, the sequel is much worse. The movie does what you would expect from a sequel; in particular, there is significantly more nudity and more deaths. But the effects are considerably poorer (with a few exceptions that are positively disgusting). The characters are terrible, and the returning cast members (Michael Madsen, Natasha Henstridge, and Marg Helgenberger) were either contractually bound or in desperate need of a paycheck. And finally, the pacing is just as bad as in its predecessor. Apart from a few moments, the films are ultimately boring as hell; there's really no other way to put it. The first one is still quite watchable, but I would advise everyone against this sequel.

More tits, more gore, less script and less natasha.
