An ambitious attempt to smash Spielbergian nostalgia into Eisener's aggressive, vulgar chaos. While the practical, micro-budget DIY hustle is respectable, the script can't bridge the gap between the two styles. It has plenty of midnight-movie energy but zero actual weight, failing to land its emotional beats and leaving the final product feeling underdeveloped.

Kids vs Aliens - ❤x5 The title says it all. It plays more like a Nikelodean movie onhly a tad more violent. It's just mostly uninteresting and kids that scream all their dialogue. I hated the Billy character - he's so cliche. The Samantha character was great. It also looks like they set the movie up for a sequel based on the ending - which it really does not deserve. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

The beginning was a little cringy but understandable to set up the movie. The middle was a classis B-horror romp and was a great time. The ending felt like it was tacked on.

It would be cool to see Sam meet up with Sienna (from _Terrifier 2_) within a crossover realm of indie spookers ⚔

>*"Get your hands off me you alien fuck!"* A gory comedy horror that felt like a kids movie. The kids are annoying and vulgar but that's about it for the comedy we get, just vulgar stuff. Found out afterwards that this is an intended spin-off to the *V/H/S/2* segment *"Slumber Party Alien Abduction"*. A lot of scenes made me think of it throughout but apart from that it's absolutely nothing like *V/H/S/2*. Different tone, no scares and not as horrifying. Even on B-movie standards this doesn't pass, it would need a lot more comedy and one-liners. The aliens very clearly look like people wearing suits which might be intended given it's humorous approach but it takes away any attempt at a scare. What I liked about it was the retro 80s look, every scene is colorful and it has a grainy picture. The music is a great fit that compliments the visuals. **Kids vs. Aliens** delivers exactly on it's title but I fail at seeing towards who it's intended. Too violent and vulgar for kids. Not comedic or fun enough for adults. 12 year olds might enjoy it? That was the most plastic looking plastic sword i've ever seen in a movie! *Rented on Prime Video*
