Welcome to the 3rd season of the show where everyone except Srikant Tiwari are painfully incompetent. The Family Man Season 3 is a masterclass in wasting good actors on terrible writing. Manoj and Jaideep are still magnetic on screen, but they're stuck carrying a story that goes nowhere slowly. Take Meera, the antagonist who jets from UK to Nagaland to Myanmar, only to accomplish... getting trapped in a photograph and flying off to Chiang Mai, Thailand. That's her arc. The writers sent her on a continental tour. Then there's JK, Srikant's closest aide, who spends the season blaming everyone from Michael to Temjen for betraying them while never once questioning his own judgment. His crowning moment? Tripping a child in a school. When your supposed intelligence operative's defining traits are zero self-awareness and an inability to shut up, you know the writing has hit rock bottom. Raj and DK seem creatively exhausted, recycling their own tropes across every project and hoping no one notices. We waited four years for this? For a season where the plot meanders, characters make baffling decisions, and the only thing holding it together is Manoj Bajpayee's screen presence? The performances deserve better. The audience deserves better. This is mediocrity with a premium cast.
Most reveals were predictable. I was hoping for a great climax but got a cliffhanger instead. At least there was some action in the end. Jaideep Ahlawat was amazing as always - would be fun to watch him in the next season/part.
It's not the same this time, it's a level low. Many things aren't right with this season, repercussions of last season are never there. Stretched action, it's not that good as compared to last seasons, also story becomes a little predictable. There are some new characters and well written too with good performances and some underused characters. And I never like the fact that you have a show and then leave it on a cliffhanger, a soft ending is always needed.
7 episodes done, and yet it felt like not much moved. Especially after the bad cliffhanger, it seems they ran out of material while shooting.
Still a good season, spoiled by predictable plot-reveals and cliffhanger of an ending. Why?
