Celebrities who think they have what it takes to pass the SAS selection are pushed to their limit by an elite team of ex-special forces operators. Fifteen recruits from the worlds of entertainment, sport and journalism take part in the hardest course yet, as Chief Instructor Billy and his team expose them to winter warfare training on New Zealand's South Island. For their first task, the celebs must traverse the Trainasium - parallel metal bars suspended 335ft in the air. Then, the recruits' mindsets are tested under extreme pressure when they stage an intense hostage rescue mission.

The spotlight focuses on the Special Forces' high levels of discipline. In the first task, a terrifying feat tests the celebrities both mentally and physically as they race in a forward abseil down a 300-ft working dam. Then, under cover of darkness, the recruits must perform one of the most feared tasks - the backwards dive. Will the celebrity recruits conduct themselves in the manner required?

The celebs are paired with an 'oppo' for mutual support as they pull heavy equipment across treacherous, icy mountain terrain. But then they have to fight each other.

The remaining celeb recruits face the ultimate test of nerve in their most terrifying ordeal yet: an escape from a simulated helicopter crash in near-freezing water.

In a test of their control, the celebs must protect a VIP on a journey through the wilderness. But one recruit has already been pushed to their limit.

It's time to test the already exhausted remaining recruits' survival instincts. After a plunge in freezing mountain water, will they have anything left to confront the Redman?

It's time for some true grit from the recruits - moving equipment over treacherous terrain, an ambush followed by dead-of-night escape, evasion... and mud wrestling.

In the series finale, the remaining celebs are ambushed behind enemy lines and handed to expert interrogators for the ultimate psychological and physical challenge.
