Good cop versus bad cop. It's fun, with likable characters, and very much New Yorky storylines (mob elements, etc). The show is entertaining, doesn't require a great deal of thought, pure entertainment. Great to see Tony Danza back in the saddle, much older, but plays a great character - mind you a good cast all round. Not deep - and frankly delighted to get some good old detective shows coming out of Netflix. Though, to be honest, this is my genre :)
I watched this so you probably don't have to. It's not nearly as quirky as 'Monk' and an absolute mile off 'Broklyn 99'. In essence I really don't know why they bothered. I never laughed once and the police procedure side was laughably (no pun intended) poor.
Shame this only got 1 season, I really enjoyed it. And......Tony Danza!
I found out about **The Good Cop** from Monica Barbaro's profile. She was awesome in Top Gun: Maverick, so I wanted to see some of her previous work. The Good Cop was a very enjoyable, old fashioned, light hearted cop show. Of-course Netflix cancelled it after one season. I don't know how this show got the green light in the first place from that Leftist infested toxic dump of a streaming service. I hope this show gets picked up by Amazon or Paramount for us to enjoy a few more seasons with its characters.
What a waste of time.
