I think this episode had the best balance between cop-life and personal-life, so far, but there was a downside. The episode felt off. I also wasn't interested in any of the storylines. And in hindsight, the only two things that pretty much happened was in regards to relationships, which is a bit unfortunate. [spoiler] A situation arose with Rachel and Tim, [/spoiler] in a way that has probably been done many times, as a means to [spoiler] break them up, [/spoiler] all to maintain that, [spoiler] "oh, they're perfect for each other" element, instead of breaking them up normally. [/spoiler] And then, there was the situation with [spoiler] John and Grace. [/spoiler] I mean, I'm not one for liking fictional relationships, but I think [spoiler] Tim and Lucy would be a lot more appealing, no offense to Rachel. [/spoiler] [spoiler] John and Grace, [/spoiler] on the other hand, I don't care about, AT ALL. And in a way, I'm glad that's over with. Well, here's to hoping. At the same time, I wish the relationships weren't such a significant aspect to where, say, the writers want to break one of them up, and then, they have to put such an emphasis on it. But, I get it. A lot of people care about that stuff, but it isn't that important. Maybe they could still include those elements and just go about it in a better manner to where it doesn't feel too much there. Overall, this episode wasn't that engaging.
