Some dialogues are straight out of writers hell and police reality is spurned in nearly every single scene. But some of the unconventional characters and approaches still make fun.

The cast of the Masterpiece version of this show, imo, were by far the best, along with the excellent story telling. The Amazon remake was imo the worse remake of the three with this version landing somewhere in-between. I may be a little biased as the Masterpiece was the first version of this story that I watched, but this version does an adequate job of telling the story. However, if you have access to the Masterpiece version, I suggest you watch that one instead.
