I honestly can't understand why there are so many versions of this kind of cartoon. Here's the thing, we're all running the "random association" software in our brains. You make a reference to a TV show I've maybe heard of, maybe seen, or maybe get the joke of some meta awareness and understanding. Is it "funny?" Almost never, we just both happen to have seen or were made aware of whatever the show, movie, or historical reference is. Is it "witty?" Even less so than "almost never." Some people are born with a quick wit, and will have you laughing with how they associate one thing with another. That is a fleetingly small number, and almost none of them are writing for television. What's the hook of your show? It seems no one is asking this. Do you have brilliant and unique writing? This certainly doesn't. Do you have characters that buck norms or interact with each other in ways you are delighted and inspired to explore each episode? What's replaced any genuine answer to that question is a sensibility that "everything can be absurd at all times," and therefore when you plug a lazy or caricatured idea into that environment, "fun" or "funny" will ensue...I guess by magic. I'm of the controversial opinion that "comedy" should often include "jokes." That is, a deliberately crafted perspective relayed in a way that solicits laughter. Shows like this are like "adult" children's programming. The things that make your child laugh aren't jokes. They're situational absurdities it can't understand, but are laughing at anyway because...farts, or noises, or silly faces. A sophisticated adult cartoon you hope is exploring a perspective, not just meandering through forced plot lines insisted upon by the setting or weak episode premise. When you're first learning how to be funny or make a joke, you're annoying. You're just refuting things or being obnoxiously ironic. That's all this is the entire time. Don't you know about internet scams and Nigerian princes? WELL THIS TIME IT'S REAL! HA! Like, the premise is old and dumb, the reveal is old and dumb, and during the journey no one made a joke. They're just trapped and saying things in the premise until they can quick cut to the next, equally horrible, premise or conversation. The last refuge of terrible shows as well is to break the 4th wall, because talented people in untalented environments can't help themselves from witnessing and suffering what they've signed up for. It's the thing you can rely on when your instinct starts nagging, "Does this suck in a particularly hardcore way?" The next moment a character will break that wall and assure you your instincts are solid.

Looking at the cast, I thought this would be hilarious. I'm sorry to say, it's hardly watchable.
