i don't understand how this is comedy, nothing funny every actually happens. it's just weird, it has some horror vibes, which i usually really dig, but not here. i never fully understand if it is a critique on machismo, because most of the time it ends up endorsing it
Danny McBride and Walton Goggins star in the HBO comedy Vice Principals. In Season 1 vice principals Neal Gamby and Lee Russell, bitter after being passed over for promotion, team-up in order to bring down North Jackson High’s newly appointed principle Dr. Belinda Brown; a tough, no nonsense woman with her own ideas on how to run a school. McBride and Goggins have great chemistry as frenemies and deliver good performances. And the characters are fairly well-written, and oddly sympathetic in their own way. However, the comedy can be a little coarse and vulgar. Only 9-episodes, Season 1 of Vice Principals is wickedly funny and leaves the audience wanting more.
