Season 3
In Season 3, Hanna is now secretly trying to destroy Utrax from the inside and free herself from its grasp with the help of her previous nemesis, former-CIA agent Marissa Wiegler. Together they have coerced high-ranking Utrax agent John Carmichael into aiding their mission, but her fellow young assassins, Sandy and Jules, as well as new foes are starting to suspect Hanna’s plot. As Hanna moves closer to her goal, she begins to uncover not only a world-changing agenda but the true power behind Utrax that stands between her and freedom.
Résistance
Hanna returns to The Meadows with her cover as a loyal Utrax trainee intact thanks to John Carmichael, who leads the trainee program but has been coerced by Marissa to help. As the trainees prepare for their first missions, Marissa contacts a CIA analyst in Vienna who is on the target list, and uses him for information. While in Paris, Hanna meets her target Abbas, a charismatic young activist.
Grape Vines and Orange Trees
Unable to forget Abbas, Hanna breaks protocol and visits him at his safehouse. While Marissa’s world is shattered when she recognizes The Chairman from Hanna’s photo. As Hanna and Marissa plan to sabotage the next assassination, a small mistake raises suspicion. Hanna intercepts the Utrax agent sent to investigate, but Carmichael is outed as a traitor which leads to Hanna and Marissa being ambushed.
Nadiya
Hanna and Marissa move quickly now that they’ve been exposed. They plan to head to Vienna, believing it’s the headquarters of Pioneer and home of the assassination program but Hanna first goes in search of Abbas. Marissa continues on to Vienna. Both are unaware they are heading into a trap.
Look Me in the Eye
Hanna and Marissa break into Pioneer headquarters and discover the frightening truth behind the assassination list and how it’s made. While inside, Marissa confronts Evans (aka The Chairman), leaving Hanna to escape with the evidence to bring down the program.
Eyeliner
Hanna and Marissa have nearly lost. Hanna is held captive by Evans while the evidence that Marissa has to bring down the program turns out to be encrypted and unusable. When Hanna tries to escape she finds what could be the key to bringing down Pioneer, but Evans’ brutal interrogation might break Hanna before she can use it.
Do Not Sleep
Hanna and Marissa return to Pioneer headquarters as prisoners but with a mission to unlock the evidence they need to bring down the program. When they realize that Abbas and his daughter are in danger they race off to rescue them. In the forests outside Vienna, Hanna must save Abbas while Marissa confronts Evans one last time.

My interest and investment in this final season fizzled out very quickly. I thought the beginning was pretty decent; the first two episodes or so, although maybe that was because it was the beginning, not because it was pretty decent: and then, all of a sudden, I didn't care about anything that was happening. Regardless of whether or not it was because it was something new to me, a new season, the first few episodes were undoubtedly the high points, episode-wise, of the season. Once it got halfway, the quality of what was happening dipped a lot, and I wouldn't say it was super high at the beginning, either. But it evolved to be detrimental by the halfway point. And this season has six episodes, not eight. Despite that, it still felt like too many, yet not enough, at the same time. Even with two more episodes, that wouldn't have changed much. While the previous two seasons were also underwhelming and dragged out, they seemed more interesting than this season was. If you can't make a season interesting enough for investment throughout its entirety, minus two episodes compared to the first two seasons, which was going to be the case with this season, too; having eight episodes: you're doing something wrong. Yet you must've done something right. Because if there were two more episodes in this final season, given the state of the scriptwriting, it would've ended up more tedious and more of a slog. Yet there were some things that I thought were decent, such as: - The acting. In a general sense, the acting isn't worth mentioning; when it came to mostly everyone who had dialogue. The acting that I thought was decent was from the three central characters. Esme Creed-Miles' acting was easy to notice and appreciate, given that she played the titular character: so was Mireille Enos' acting, which I thought was better than Esme's acting; and Dermot Mulroney's presence as John Charmichael dwarfed both of them. Their performances brought a lot to their characters. - The soundtrack. There were a few songs that I thought were great. The rest, while they weren't songs that I liked, still contributed to a good soundtrack. It was the same with the second season and probably with the first season, too, but I don't remember. - The cinematography. Good cinematography is pivotal for the watching experience, and if it's not to a certain standard, that can negatively impact what you're watching, taking you out of the immersion. But the cinematography was up to that standard. Some specific shots also stood out. But there were also things that I was neutral towards, such as: - The fight choreography. It wasn't bad, that's for sure. Some of the fight choreography had a hard-hitting feeling. But, overall, it was just okay. Most of the fight sequences weren't ones that I'd remember easily, as far as my tastes for them are concerned. If anything, the editing dragged down a lot of the fight choreography. - The script. Parts of it felt like the writers were going in a specific direction for what it'll be and how it should feel, yet it fell short. I'm referring to the thriller genre stuff: or rather, lack thereof. One of IMDb's summaries started with, "In equal parts high-concept thriller and coming-of-age drama..." More like coming-of-age drama. - cont.) There were clear signs of "high-concept thriller" (well, there would have to be; otherwise, the show wouldn't involve typical thriller narratives), yet it always fell short, feeling underwhelming for what it should be. And the non-thriller stuff, instead of complimenting the thriller stuff, practically dragged down everything as a whole. It was the same way in the first season and probably the second season as well. Overall, I think this final season had more underwhelming undertones than the previous season. Being the last season of the show essentially amplified the underwhelming-ness of it all. But despite that, it wasn't that bad of an end to the show. It could've been so much better, though; same with the first two seasons.
[Amazon] After S1, which followed part of the original story of the film "Hanna" (Joe Wright, 2011), the following two seasons have introduced important changes, but maintaining a good level of action thriller that relies mainly on an outstanding cast. S3, which represents the series finale, is less effective than the previous ones, but David Farr has achieved a remarkable production that ends at its best.
A little less teen drama than seaon 2, and ultimately not a happy outcome for anyone.
Tailed off this season and became very “wash, rinse, repeat” (captured, escaped, hunted, gunfight, captured etc etc etc). The dumb decision count went through the roof in order to prolong the story and the rogue unit must be running out of operatives given they’ve had about 200 people killed already, not surprising really given none of them can shoot for s**t! Was really glad for it to end TBH. This season dragged the show down overall from a 7 to a 6 for me.
